It is installed in the R, S, and T cores; simplex applications only require one card in the R core. Primarily used in steam simplex setups and select TMR systems needing proximitors, it supports flexible sensor integration—switching between proximity transducers and accelerometers via hardware jumpers and software configuration. Its core functions include managing proximitor inputs, LVDT/LVDR inputs, two regulator milliamp outputs, and LM vibration inputs, making it a vital component for enhancing the Mark V system’s monitoring and control scope.

The board is designed for adaptability: it works with both proximity transducers and accelerometers, with jumpers setting the correct mode based on the connected sensor. It fits in R/S/T cores but simplifies simplex setups with a single R-core card. The Mark V system, paired with this board, can excite accelerometer vibration sensors and scale their feedback signals—extending vibration monitoring capabilities critical for turbine health.


Precise EPROM Installation & Functional Consistency
Installing EPROMs requires aligning the module with the socket and pressing firmly to ensure a tight physical connection . A critical best practice is retaining the old EPROMs’ firmware and programming, guaranteeing the replacement board operates identically to the original—avoiding mismatches that could disrupt turbine control logic. This consistency is key for maintaining system reliability post-replacement.

Beyond sensor management, it delivers specialized I/O functions: two regulator milliamp outputs for precise control of downstream devices, LVDT/LVDR inputs for linear position monitoring, and proximitor/LM vibration inputs for rotational/structural health tracking.
