The Yokogawa AAM21-S2 is a high-precision analog input module designed for measuring millivolt (mV), thermocouple (TC), and RTD signals in industrial automation systems. With 8 isolated channels and 16-bit A/D conversion, it delivers accurate and reliable temperature and low-voltage measurements. Built-in cold junction compensation (CJC) ensures thermocouple accuracy, while sensor fault detection (open/short) improves diagnostics and uptime. Fully compatible with CENTUM VP and CS 3000 systems, the module supports hot swap for maintenance without system interruption and provides channel-to-system isolation for enhanced safety and noise immunity in demanding environments.
